A visual reflection on the birth of humanity, our growth and evolution. Exploring humanities need to break through all boundaries physical and metaphysical to go beyond the confines of a planet that has nourished it so well. 

Each image in the series is a composite of thousands of Jpegs. The landscapes explore important punctuations in human history. The natural distortions and patterns of light that occur in the creation of Google Maps, are modified and intertwined with the Arecibo message. 

A need to explore and know is something deeply ingrained in the make of human kind. Our struggle is that of contact.
